There is no specific guideline for Biomedical Engineering that we know of. Because there are so many different manufacturers of medical devices in this world, anyone of them with their own specific service protocols, it is virtually impossible to establish a proficient median that can encompass all the differences between manufacturers. At Bioclinworld.com we prefer the guidelines issued by the medicines and health care products regulatory agency (MHRA) in the UK to establish a good management practice as part of our service to our customers. How does your charges work? |

In order to understand the charges applied for servicing and why we are so competitive, we have to look at the dynamics of medical devices. A few criteria apply to all devices. Normally, the higher the risk to patient and staff, the more involved the preventative maintenance service protocols applied to make sure the device is in good order and safe to use. Bioclinworld uses the ECRI risk categorization to establish a device's specific risk level and through an extensive database we managed to class the time it would take for the service of most devices. |

The easy answer is NO. Because all our customers are responsible for our traveling, accommodation and meals, we do not charge traveling time to and from or between sites. However, our service level agreements does make provision for delays due to adverse weather conditions. For instance, if an engineer is stuck on a platform as a result of fog or if deteriorated weather conditions prevent him from completing an assignment within the agreed time frame, there is a pre-agreed charge involved. |
